Your state checklist
People often forget a state they once lived or worked in, and new property keeps arriving. Tick each state once you've searched its official site, and recheck every six months.
Saved only in this browser. Nothing you tick is sent to us or anyone else, and you can clear it any time.
51 states and DC to check.
Tip: MissingMoney.com searches many states at once. Then check each state's own site below.

Official email alerts
Some states will email you themselves when property in a name like yours is reported. Sign up only on the state's own site, and remember the government won't call or text asking you to pay. We list a state here only after reading it on that state's own page.
- Missouri: the State Treasurer says
an email alert will notify you if Unclaimed Property with a name similar to yours is turned over to the Missouri State Treasurer's office.
Missouri's sign-up page.
Know of another state with an official alert? Tell us and we'll check its official page.
